Sailboat Bay offers a variety of outdoor and indoor recreational opportunies.

Swim in the large West Pool while watching the shrimp boats and sea birds on Bon Secour Bay. The kiddie pool at the West Pool is a great place to watch the kids. Try out the Clubhouse pool and Hot Spa. Its great for relaxing and being able to get out of the sun.

Sailboat Bay offers the convience of being on the Intracoastal Waterway at Bon Secour area of Mobile Bay. Sailing and fishing are just a few steps away.

Tennis anyone? Join the growing number of tennis players on our newly refinished tennis courts.

Sailboat Bay offers the perfect place to get some walking or jogging in. Our private gated community provides a great place to walk or jog for over a mile without having to worry about traffic. A walk out of the gate and around Plash Island will give you a three mile walk in a beautiful quiet setting along the Bon Secour River.

Need to get some indoor excercise? Use the workout room in the Clubhouse Pool area.

Join in the fun of organized card games in the Clubhouse, or just grab a book and relax on the comfy sofas provided. Its a great place to visit and is available for special events. Check with the Property Manager for available dates. Use the beautiful surrounding for weddings, receptions, and hosting other events.

Pool

The pools and the Spa are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY!

Insurance requirements as well as safety considerations lead to the establishment of official pool rules:

SAILBOAT BAY POOL RULES

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY (Use at your own risk)

POOL HOURS: 8:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.

All bathers, before entering the swimming pool, shall take a cleansing shower.

Persons having cuts, communicable diseases, cough, cold, open sore, bandaged wound, or other medical conditions, are prohibited from entering pool.

Spitting, urinating, blowing of the nose, spouting of water or deposit of foreign matter in pool is strictly prohibited.

Bottles, crockery, glassware, or other hazardous objects shall not be permitted inside the pool fence area, deck area or adjacent facilities.

No children under 14 are permitted in pool area without adult supervision.

No running or boisterous or rough play is permitted in the pool, dressing or shower rooms, or pool enclosure area.

Any person suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall be prohibited from entering the pool area.

Consumption of food and or beverages (other than water) and use of tobacco products is prohibited in the swimming pool or adjacent deck area.

Animals are prohibited within the pool enclosure or bathhouse facilities.

Use of pool shall be prohibited during any severe weather conditions.

No diving is permitted -- anywhere or any time.

Tennis

Your Homeowner status entitles you to full privileges at our two tennis courts. Courts are currently on a first-come, first-served basis. Usage is limited to Owners, Guests, and tenants only.

Golf

There are many golf courses within easy driving range of Sailboat Bay. Listed below are the courses listed as “Public Courses” in the local yellow pages in 2008. All are in the 251 area code and are located either in the immediate area or on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay.

Social

The Sailboat Bay Clubhouse and some other amenities are available for Social events by homeowners and homeowner’s guests.

Whether it’s the weekly bridge tournament, club meeting, reception or family get together, the Clubhouse is available when you need the extra room or a convenient meeting place. The Clubhouse kitchen is also available.

Check with the Property Manager to reserve the Clubhouse if you want it after hours or on the weekends for your special events. Family reunions, receptions and birthday parties are a big hit when you have the extra space the Clubhouse offers. A security deposit is required.

Let him know when you are planning to have a get together at the Clubhouse during normal business hours. He can make sure there are no planning conflicts.
